Jammin’ with Purpose: How Tony Turns Passion into Community Impact

Faces of Southam: Tony from Jammin' Pizza

Tony’s journey to Southam is one of love, resilience, and a deep-rooted passion for community. Growing up in Birmingham, he reflects on a childhood where the education system failed to engage and inspire, leaving many young men—himself included—feeling lost. He openly admits that he mixed with the wrong crowd, not through choice, but through a lack of guidance and opportunity. He saw firsthand how easy it was for young people to slip through the cracks, and it’s a system he wishes had been different.

Despite those early struggles, Tony found discipline and focus through kickboxing. As a well-trained fighter, he not only uses the sport to stay fit but also dedicates his time to sparring with young fighters, helping them train and build confidence. His belief in structure and purpose is something he carries into every aspect of his life.

Thirty years ago, Tony fell head over heels in love and moved to Stockton to start a family. Now a proud father of four and an even prouder grandfather, he speaks passionately about the importance of family, friends, and opportunities. These values have shaped his journey as a business owner and community supporter.

Tony’s entrepreneurial spirit first emerged with Jammin’ BBQ, a venture that sadly had to close. But he didn’t let that stop him. During the isolating days of the Covid lockdowns, he launched Jammin’ Pizza, delivering DIY pizza boxes to people stuck at home. What started as a way to bring joy to those in isolation has since flourished into a thriving business. Today, Jammin’ Pizza has a takeaway station at Banbury’s Lock 29 and a takeaway service in Stockton, serving Southam and the surrounding villages.

But Tony’s impact goes beyond making delicious food. He has built both businesses from the ground up, personally sourcing high-quality ingredients and collaborating with local businesses to create unique offerings—such as his soon-to-be-famous curry sandwiches. He also believes in investing in young people, offering them jobs that teach valuable cooking and business skills.

Tony’s philosophy in life and business is summed up in his simple but powerful motto: “One Love.” He believes in unity, kindness, and supporting others, values that shine through in everything he does. His love for music is also an essential part of who he is—whether it’s playing in the background while he preps his pizzas or simply bringing people together over a shared appreciation for good tunes.

Giving back is at the heart of everything Tony does. Using proceeds from his business, he buys sleeping bags for the homeless and personally distributes food and essentials in Worcester, Leamington Spa, Banbury, and Birmingham. He has worked with local retailers to secure high-quality sleeping bags, ensuring that those in need stay warm and safe. But more than that, Tony takes the time to sit, listen, and connect with the homeless, hearing their stories and showing them that they are not invisible.

As part of his mission to raise awareness, Tony is preparing to spend a night on the streets himself in the coming weeks. He wants to experience firsthand the struggles of homelessness, using his platform to shed light on an issue that is too often overlooked.

Tony from Jammin’ Pizza is more than just a business owner—he is a man dedicated to making a difference, one meal, one act of kindness, and one opportunity at a time. Southam is lucky to have him. One Love.
