Through the Lens of Innovation: Capturing the Essence of a Jaguar Land Rover Corporate Event
Step into the dynamic world of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), where innovation meets celebration. Recently, I had the privilege of being the lens behind the scenes at a corporate event hosted by JLR. From powerful addresses by industry leaders to candid moments of genuine connection, this event was a tapestry of innovation and camaraderie. Join me as I share the highlights and the unique perspective gained through my lens.
The event itself was nothing short of spectacular—an internal strategy launch that the company was rolling out to all its departments. The line-up featured five prominent speakers leading the project, Microsoft Teams sessions connecting JLR teams worldwide, and keynote speeches from company directors. The day unfolded in two sessions, with the same event held in the morning and afternoon, each featuring different directors addressing the audience. This dual schedule proved invaluable, allowing me to anticipate and experiment with various photography angles and positions during the second session.
Each session comprised a compelling presentation in the auditorium, followed by a mingling session where teams could discuss and delve into the insights shared with colleagues and managers. This informal interaction revealed the collective enthusiasm for the project and provided a delightful opportunity to witness genuine connections among attendees. The event also offered refreshments and engaging activities, adding an element of enjoyment for all participants.
Capturing corporate events is always a joy for me. Having spent 17 years in education, attending countless conferences and events, I've experienced my fair share of note-taking (or discreet snoozing in the background). Transitioning into the role of a photographer at these events allows me to shift the focus, immortalizing important speakers, standout moments within the event, and the range of human emotions—from laughter to heartwarming and challenging moments throughout the day. Ultimately, it's about capturing these significant life moments, even in the workspace, and bringing a unique perspective to the narrative of corporate gatherings.
