Capturing Success: The Impact of Photography on Business Growth

Photography is so powerful when trying to relay a message or clearly portray what a business is all about, especially with so much online now, potential customers and clients read about you before they see you. Photography is all about balancing all the aspects of what is right in front of you and making sure the key elements are shown for what it represents. Having sharp, bright images for your website is one thing, having the message about you is another.

The Crown Inn, Stockton, Warwickshire, is a lovely public house in a small village. It is a building with a lot of history with indoor and outdoor space. It serves delicious, home cooked food, has a great selection of drinks, a welcoming atmosphere and also brings together the local community with teams such as pool. These aspects were key to showing the pub for its key points as below.

Ellie-Mae asked me to do some photography for a new pre-school children’s group she was setting up as a new venture. This was all about capturing the opportunities for the children throughout the playgroup, the interactions and learning that took place. The looks on their faces as the explored and found wonder in the resources around them. Being a children’s group, I won’t share pictures of children but the opportunities show bright, colourful, interactive areas of the room. Having these these images tells potential clients what their children are going to benefit from at her particular children’s group. They show the effort that has gone into the planning of each session and the depth of engagement the children will encounter.

Alun is a chiropractor just over the Warwickshire border, in Northamptonshire. He asked me to do some photographs for him of his treatments to add to his website and social media. The images show the hands-on approach of chiropractic care, make customers feel at ease knowing the friendly face of the man who will care for them, and also see the approach they can expect when visiting.

Neena asked me to do some photography for her interior design projects. Her sister purchases and renovates property and then Neena uses her create flair to style and make each one unique. Photographing for Neena was a new exciting challenge and the real estate photography uses a different set of skills to ensure a high dynamic range in the pictures and crisp, sharp, straight edges and lines. After discussing it with Neena, and looking at sample images of styled photographs she had seen in her design research, we recreated the style.

A good friend of mine, Eddie, is a dairy farmer in north Wales. He has launched a new on site milkshake machine which delivers milk fresh from the farm into refillable bottles for locals to use 24/7. The milkshake is delicious and so capturing the bright, airy Welsh countryside, as well as the great product and the family, was key to updating their online and local advertising for their new venture.
